Great creativity and adequate leadership style are Steve Jobs' key attributes that should be modeled in nonprofit marketing. Steve Jobs relied on his "tastes" and inner sense of what a consumer would love to have on their hands. Did he muddle with mixed research designs? Could you see him struggling with qualitative or quantitative analysis to segment market audience? He listened and deciphered the signs and symbols of what the consumer culture. I could never see him in a PhD program, especially the one I attended a while back. Until academic and scholar gurus understand how to measure consumer culture, people like Steve Jobs will be trying to do their own thing somewhere else.
